Born in Christchurch, and now working from his local studio - Jon Thom is already a successful, emerging artist in the Dunedin art scene.

Self taught, he has been exhibiting his evocative portraiture for the last four years and now has his award winning works in private collections throughout New Zealand, and internationally.

With a background in graphic design, music, film and art and a student of design and art history at Otago University, Jon has also found precious time to be the designer and one of the founding members of 'Motion Sickness Studio' - which provides art direction for clients in the design and music industry.  On top of this he and a business partner has developed a full menswear collection and a line of T-Shirts which feature some of Jon's work under the name of 'Moodie Tuesday'.
